CATEGORIES AND PRIZES for the 2010 COMPETITION

Photographs for the 3 main categories must be digital and can be entered either in the form of a CD-R or submitted online. The fourth "Open" category is for prints only [Click here for details]. New this year are awards for local entries in the "Open" category.

Prizes are awarded for both print & digital file format and also in each and all categories (with the exception of the Club Portfolio of 10 category)

First prize £75; Second prize £50; Third prize £25

In the Print No 4 'Open – any subject' category, two additional awards of £50 and £25 have been kindly donated for the Best Print submitted by an entrant resident in the Harrogate area. This is defined as either a postcode beginning with HG or a telephone area code of 01423. There are also two special awards for entrants up to 12 years old of £20 and £10.

School/College Section (digital format only, any subject)
First prize £75; Second prize £50; Third prize £25
plus three commendations at £15 each.
In addition £100 for the School/College from which the winning entry comes.

Club Portfolio of 10 images
First prize £150; second prize £100; third prize £50

Grand Prize for 'The Best Overall Photograph': £250
Runner-up Grand Prize for 'The Best Overall Photograph': £100

Photos entered in the School/College Section will also be judged for the Best Overall Photograph and Runner-up Prizes as well as those entered in the main competition.
