We will be announcing new categories for the 2010 competiton towards the end of September 2009. The closing date for entries will be Wed 2nd June 2010.
The results will be announced and the exhibition held on Saturday and Sunday, 12th and 13th June 2010.
The Sharow Photographic Competition is a competition for photographers of all levels of ability - excluding full-time professional photographers. We welcome entries from beginners as well as experienced photographers (from digital camera or film). Everyone has an equal opportunity to win in this competition - see testimonials.
We are the only National Open Photographic Competition for Charity
The chosen charity to be supported in 2009 is Martin House Hospice For Children & Young Adults - Registered Charity No. 517919.

The Sharow Competition has quickly blossomed into a ‘tour
de force’ and the standard of entries is very high. It has
obviously now staked its place in the nation's photographic competition
calendar and I hope will go from strength to strength, especially given
the fact that you are able to not only provide generous prize money,
but also make substantial donations to charity. 
Sharow Photographic Competition is promoted by St. John's Church PCC in Sharow, North
Yorkshire
on the outskirts of Ripon, the Cathedral City of the Dales.
