JUDGE'S
COMMENT:
"I have judged many
photographic competitions and University submissions around the
world. My experience at the Sharow Competition was unique in that
it was the first time I had to work with both Prints & Digital.
I was very impressed with the standard of both mediums and I, and
my fellow Judges had a very hard task in finding the final Winners."

JUDGE'S
COMMENT:
"Judging of the whole
took two days to complete but we eventually found unanimity of
choice of winners in each category. It was a pleasure to work with
my fellow judges in a relaxed manner and to be charmed by so many
wonderful photographs of such high quality. Well done to all entrants
- you are all to be congratulated on a very high standard of submission."

JUDGE'S COMMENT:
"It was a fantastic set of entries with a very high
standard of photography - so much so it did give us a challenge,
but it was a great challenge to be faced with and was a lot of
fun. It's a credit to everyone who took the time to enter and long
may the competition continue"

WINNER'S
COMMENT:
"By viewing the web-site,
I was aware of the success of the first competition in 2006.
However, I was amazed at the greatly increased number, and quality,
of the entries in this year's competition, when I visited the
exhibition. This success can only be due to the enthusiasm and
hard work of the organisers, who are to be congratulated.
The purpose and format of the competition is admirable, especially
the inclusion of a Schools' Section. For photography to prosper,
particularly in the camera club world, we need to enthuse young
people and such a competition can only help. Bearing in mind
the restricted pemises, I think the layout and presentation,
both in prints and digital, was excellent.
That this new competition is held in
high regard was evidenced by the submission of entries from a
wide area of the country.
I consider myself both lucky and honoured to be included amongst
the winners. I wish the organisers continued success in their,
doubtless, considerable efforts to promote this relatively new
venture."
