Whitfield Benson
Whitfield Benson has been a full time photographer since 2000, having worked on a semi-professional basis for many years before then. His work involves photographing people, places and wildlife.
With a passionate interest in the natural world in all its forms, he has been privileged to witness some of our most interesting and impressive creatures, birds and plants. From the Orkneys to Cornwall, Whitfield experiences a constant pleasure that which is on offer in a land he considers as diverse as any in the world.
Working in subjects from fashion to weddings, architecture to food, landscapes to seascapes has produced a vast array of inspiration in his work.
In 2008, Whitfield was involved in work for travel features in specialist publications and photographed a bumper crop of weddings but his highlights were producing wonderful images of a Common Sandpiper in full call and finding himself eight inches from the head of an adder.
To Whitfield, photography is a truly artistic and inspirational medium.
